To uncock a TenPoint crossbow equipped with an ACUdraw system, follow these simple steps:
- Ensure your crossbow is pointed in a safe direction and your finger is away from the trigger at all times during the process.
- Activate the safety mechanism on the crossbow to prevent accidental firing.
- Place your foot in the stirrup at the front of the crossbow to stabilize it.
- Slowly and carefully pull the ACUdraw handle back until it engages the trigger mechanism.
- Keep a firm grip on the ACUdraw handle and push the release button located on the handle. This will disengage the trigger and allow the crossbow to safely uncock.
- Slowly and steadily guide the ACUdraw handle forward while keeping control of the crossbow until the string is fully uncocked.
- Once the string is fully uncocked, you can remove your foot from the stirrup and handle the crossbow safely.
